UPDATE: Stolen dog reunited with owner in Santa Cruz
UPDATE: A stolen dog has been reunited with its owner in Santa Cruz.
According to Santa Cruz Police, the Chihuahua named Apple was found Tuesday with the help of a community member who spotted the dog and convinced the person holding the dog to hand her over.

The Santa Cruz Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a dog-napping suspect caught on camera.
A 9-year-old Chihuahua named “Apple” was taken from the downtown Santa Cruz area around 2 p.m. on April 13.
The dog’s owner initially thought his pup might have ran away from his office. However, while posting missing dog flyers, the victim checked surveillance video from a nearby business and watched a woman take off with his pet.
“The suspect, a woman described as having a lean body type, long reddish-brown hair, and tattoos on her neck and chest area,” said SCPD.
Apple is described as a white Chihuahua with brown spots.
