Gallons of grease dumped illegally in Marina

Gallons of grease were found dumped illegally on a street in Marina.

A team from the Monterey County Health Department’s Environmental Health Bureau responded to a report of two 55-gallon drums dumped on Lapis Road in Marina on April 12.

The drums contained kitchen grease and some had spilled onto the ground.

“The drums did not have lids. This may be the fourth such disposal of kitchen grease on Lapis Road,” said Monterey County Health officials.

In January, the health department investigated two cases of illegal dumping in Marina and Gonzales.

The health department is investigating and asks for the publics help identifying the vehicle(s) and or people responsible for this months illegal dumping.
