Burger King manager “roughed up” during armed robbery in Soledad

A Burger King was robbed at gunpoint in Soledad early Monday morning.

Soledad Police said the armed robbery occurred at the Burger King at 2107 H Dela Rosa Street around 7:45 a.m.

“The suspects roughed up the manager and forced the employee to the safe,” said Deputy Chief Damon Wasson.

Two armed men left in a vehicle that was later abandoned in ag fields in the area.

Officers told KION the vehicle used in the armed robbery was stolen and they are currently processing and gathering evidence from the car.

Burger King employees told KION they were really scared but that everyone is ok.

Wasson said they are thankful nobody was injured and that it didn’t turn into something worse.
