Two car crash under investigation in Castroville
UPDATE: 3/29/2018 11:15 a.m. Four people suffered major injuries in a head-on crash in Castroville Wednesday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 8:22 p.m. on Highway 183. A blue Subaru Impreza drove across the center line and hit a black Chevrolet Tahoe. Both drivers and two passengers suffered major injuries. All five people involved were taken to Natividad Medical Center.
Highway 183 was closed for a couple of hours while crews investigated the scene.
“Impairment is believed to be a factor in this collision,” said Officer Chaty.
CHP is investigating this case.

According to the CHP, five people were involved in the crash including two children, but the children were not hurt. Three people suffered major injuries.
The California Highway Patrol said one of the drivers involved may have been driving drunk.

According to the CHP, a car and SUV crashed after 8 p.m. Wednesday on Highway 183 at Cooper Road.
Both lanes of the highway are shut down.
The California Highway Patrol said one person was trapped in the SUV with possible major injuries.
