Toys R Us liquidation sale postponed
A toy store giant may be closing soon, but those looking to catch good deals have to wait a little longer.
Toys R Us announced its plan to sell or close all of its U.S. stores last week.
With hundreds of stores across the country, the company needs to let go of a lot of inventory.
Stores were expected to begin liquidation sales Thursday, but it’s been postponed.
Employees on the Central Coast said they don’t know why.
Despite no sale, toys were selling.
“We were hoping to get things half off, you know, lots of toys maybe for Easter or whatnot. But you know, we still went in and got what we wanted to get anyway,” shopper Colleen Bryan said.
Bryan said she is going to go back to the store once the sale starts.
Toys R Us and Babies R Us stores are expected to close in the coming months.
