Storm causes flooding in parts of Monterey County
High water levels are causing some flooding in parts of south Monterey County.
Thursday afternoon, the Monterey County Office of Emergency Services said river overflow has moved into the King City golf course. The San Lorenzo Creek is currently at 8 feet which is considered a moderate flood stage. Normally the creek is at 2 feet.
“The King City trailer park has standing water in the parking lot due to poor drainage,” said Monterey County OES officials.
The Monterey County Parks Rangers Association also posted pictures of flooding at San Antonio River Bridge on Interlake Road and said the river is flowing at 1500 cubic feet per second.
