4.5-magnitude earthquake strikes off Northern California coast

A 4.5 magnitude earthquake struck northern California Thursday morning.

The USGS said the quake hit about 8 miles west of Humboldt Hill around 9:24 a.m.

It had a depth of 12 miles.
