New bag policy at Salinas Sports Complex
Fans of monster trucks and rodeos will find new safety measures at the Salinas Sports Complex starting in May.
The California Rodeo Association announced new restrictions this week on what can — and can’t — be brought into the arena.
Starting May 6 th , spectators will be allowed to bring one clear bag and one small clutch per person. Such things as backpacks, purses, camera bags, and fanny packs will be banned, with the exception of diapers bags and bags carrying medical equipment.
The policy covers all events produced by the Rodeo Association, including Monster Jam, Big Week and Rodeo activities, and the Central Coast Sports Spectacular.
The Rodeo Association says the bag restrictions are consistent with rules at other venues in the country.
