Student arrested for school threat in Morgan Hill

A high school student was arrested for making a threat towards a school in Morgan Hill.

On Tuesday, officials with Morgan Hill Unified School District were notified of a possible threat found at Sobrato High School.

Morgan Hill Police responded to the school to investigate a written message found a day after it was written. A student was identified, arrested and booked into Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall.

“MHPD will not tolerate any threats that jeopardize the safety of our children and schools. We will investigate all threats immediately and methodically and hold the offenders accountable for their actions. The safety of our Students and Staff is our top concern,” said MHPD.

There has been an increase in threats being made at schools across the nation and law enforcement agencies said all threats will be taken seriously.
