ICE arrests 2 in Capitola
Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers made arrests in Capitola this week.
According to city officials, ICE called 911 dispatch to let Capitola Police know that agents were going to conduct an operation Wednesday.
The operation began around 4:15 a.m. and ended about three hours later. ICE officers arrested two individuals, and detained two others.
ICE explained to the city that they were in town conducting administrative warrants.
Capitola PD told KION they do not assist in civil administrative warrants which is what ICE conducted Wednesday, however they do assist in certain criminal warrants with all agencies.
