TAMC & MST want to hear from public about unmet transit needs in Monterey County

Maybe you notice something when you’re going to work or school — a transit problem that never seems to get any better. Well, if so, now is your time to speak up.

The Transportation Agency for Monterey County — along with Monterey-Salinas Transit are looking for input from the public on new transit services they believe are needed in their community. After all the feedback is given, the agencies will prioritize the problems. According to TAMC these suggestions won’t fall on deaf ears, and often times you at home can make a big difference for your community.

“A couple years ago through this process we had some comments about transit needs down in San Lucas and San Ardo in South County, and now that’s no longer a need. We went after some federal transit grants to meet the need, so that’s just one example.” said TAMC planner, Virginia Murillo.

WHEN & WHERE: The first hearing will be at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 during the TAMC Board of Directors Meeting, 1428 Abbott Street, Salinas. The second hearing will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, during the MST Mobility Advisory Committee Meeting, 19 Upper Ragsdale Drive, Monterey.
