Cannabis 101 seminar popular on Central Coast
As interest in pot continues to grow, potential buyers are looking for more information about marijuana. With that in mind, there will be a seminar Tuesday. It’s the third put on by Monterey Bay Alternative Medicine, and each time, these classes fill up.
They will discuss the distinction between Sativa and Indica flower strains, methods of ingestion, and the benefits and effects of cannabis. Those who attend will be able to have their questions answered as well. The idea is to make people feel comfortable and know what to look for before buying cannabis.
“We definitely have people coming in and talking to our care specialist saying i’m new and I haven’t used it since the 1960’s or maybe just not at all. There are a lot of people that still have that fear about what it’s going to do with them,” said Training Coordinator Tree Plant.
Organizers say every seat is already reserved for Tuesday’s seminar. However, if people do not show, you have a chance at grabbing their seat. The seminar will be at Seaside’s Oldemeyer Center beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Because of the high demand for information about marijuana, Monterey Bay Alternative Medicine plans to hold more seminars in the near future. You can find out when the next one is by following their Facebook page.
