Burglary suspect found with shaved key in Watsonville
The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man in possession of burglary tools, stolen license plates, and a shaved key commonly used to steal cars.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Escalante stopped suspects, Samuel Beltran and Alura Castillo in Watsonville Tuesday night.
“The car they were driving had stolen license plates. Alura was found to be in possession of burglary tools, and a stolen check,” said the Santa Cruz Sheriff’s Office.
Beltran had methamphetamine and shaved car keys on him.
Both suspects were arrested and booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail.
