Drug dealer busted inside Watsonville motel

The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office Special Enforcement Team busted a Santa Cruz man in possession of drugs for sale inside a Watsonville motel.

On February 12, around 11 a.m. detectives searched 55-year-old Michael Rogers motel room and found about 13 ounces of methamphetamine packaged for the purposes of sales, $1,600 in cash, multiple digital scales, drug packaging materials and several cell phones.

Rogers was booked into county jail for Possession of methamphetamine for sale, and violating terms of conditional release.
