Interviews for ‘People of Salinas Project’ set for Friday
The People Of Salinas Project will be hitting the streets at 10:00 a.m. Friday in hopes of closing the gap between people, one story at a time.
This project is based on the idea that the better you know your neighbors, the less likely you’ll be to commit a crime against them.
“You just have to start connecting with other people and being available and serving somewhere. You know helping in a school or I mean whatever, you just have to step out,”said Project Manager Christina Romero
“Our lives and our busy-ness, I think we are sort of cut off from each other. I don’t think that we stop and talk to people naturally anymore. We just dont at this point,” said Assistant Project Manager, Robin Bassett.
The interview includes a few questions and you can share as much or as little as you would like about yourself. The only requirement is you have to live in Salinas.
Interviews for The people of Salinas Project will be going on Friday at Central Park in Salinas from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Residents can just stop by and share what you want. It should only take a few minutes.
