Big rig carrying Firestone beer overturns on 101 in Salinas
The CHP is investigating an accident involving an overturned big rig on Highway 101 in Salinas.
The crash was first reported around 7:30 Wednesday morning. The semi was going northbound when another vehicle merged onto the ramp forcing the truck off the road.
The big rig ended up on its side, just off the shoulder of northbound 101 near Market Street.
No injuries were reported. The semi truck was carrying Firestone Walker beer. Dozens of cases of beer were scattered all over the side of the highway.
