Central Coast Credit Union robbed at gunpoint in Salinas

The Salinas Police Department is investigating a bank robbery Thursday.

According to police, an armed suspect walked into the Central Coast Credit Union on South Main Street around 10:15 a.m.

“He was armed with a handgun that he pulled from the Superman bag. If you see him do not approach him, call police,” said SPD.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male in his late 50’s to early 60’s. He has a grey beard or goatee. He was wearing a black beanie, blue checkered hooded jacket, blue jeans, white shoes, and was carrying a Superman bag.

Anyone with information regarding the suspects whereabouts is asked to call Detective John Richardson at 758-7478.
