One-on-One with gubernatorial candidate John Chiang
California will elect a new governor in 2018, and the candidates are making stops up and down the coast. KION’s Aaron Groff spoke one-on-one with State Treasurer and gubernatorial candidate John Chiang. Chiang addressed issues from dealing with differences from the Trump Administration on immigration and marijuana laws, to how to deal with sexual harassment and assault in Sacramento, and trying to add more affordable housing across California.
Chiang is one of many candidates with current and prior political experience. Also declaring their candidacy are Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom, former Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, former Superintendent of Public Instruction Delaine Eastin, Assemblyman Travis Allen, and former U.S. Congressman Doug Ose.
