Attempted armed robbery in East Salinas

Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery in East Salinas.

Police said someone tried to rob a man in his 30’s and shots were fired. The victim was not hurt.

ShotSpotter detected shots in the 700 block of Elton Place Monday night.

A potential suspect has been detained and officers recovered a gun.
