Suspect fires gun at Prunedale home
A suspect is in custody after allegedly firing a gun from his truck at a home in Prunedale.
According to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to Prunedale South Road around 11:25 a.m. Monday and found three men inside a white Chevrolet truck.
Deputies arrested the driver of the truck, Miguel Ruiz for shooting at a home with people inside.
“A stolen handgun, spent shell casings, and a box of ammo were located inside (the truck),” said Monterey County Sheriff’s.
Deputies also found a shell casing on Prunedale South Road matching the ones found in the truck.
Ruiz was booked into the Monterey County Jail for shooting at a home, probation violation, and possession of a stolen loaded handgun.
Deputies released the other two suspects at the scene pending further investigation.
