Gang member carrying loaded gun busted in King City

A known Sureno gang member was arrested after police caught him with a gun.

According to King City Police, it started with a traffic stop around 9:52 p.m. Monday, on Lynn at N. Vanderhurst in King City. The right front passenger, 19-year-old Cesar Renee Lucas jumped out of the car and ran. Police caught him on the 200 block of Broadway and found a .40 caliber Glock pistol concealed in his waistband.

“The suspect was identified as Cesar Lucas, a known “Sureno” gang member who is a convicted felon which prohibits him from owning or possessing firearms,” said King City Police.

Lucas was booked into the Monterey County Jail.
