Woman randomly stabs man in head inside Greenfield bar

A Greenfield woman has been arrested for stabbing a man inside a south Monterey County bar.

According to Greenfield Police, 24-year-old Oney Martinez Perez was inside a local bar in downtown Greenfield when she began waiving a knife around early Monday morning. Perez then stabbed a man several times.

The victim suffered non-life threatening stab wounds to his head, upper torso and arm.

“The victim did not know Perez and her attack on him appears to be random. Perez was arrested and booked into county jail. Her bail has been set at $1 million,” said Commander Edmundo Rodriguez.

After taking Perez to county jail, a knife was found by deputies under several layers of clothing she was wearing.

Perez was charged with attempted murder, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of narcotics, and bringing a weapon into the jail.
