Downed power lines and tree close road near Boulder Creek
Downed power lines and a tree shut down a road in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
According to Cal Trans, a tree and multiple power lines fell on Highway 236 at China Grade Road about 4 miles north of Boulder Creek. The incident was reported after 2 p.m. Thursday.
Crews expect to reopen the highway sometime around 7 p.m. until then drivers are advised to avoid the area.
