Santa Cruz proclaims Nov.9 “Santa Cruz City and County Veterans Appreciation Day”
Ahead of Veterans Day, an early ceremony was held today at the Santa Cruz County building.
The service honored those who have served overseas and came back and served the city or county of Santa Cruz.
Some of the vets who were honored now work as police officers, deputies, teachers or other positions within Santa Cruz.
This is the 9th year Santa Cruz has been hosting this ceremony. The county and city proclaimed today (November 9th) will now be known as Santa Cruz City and County Veterans Appreciation Day.
