Hallowine benefit this Sunday – all proceeds will go to victims of Northern CA wildfires
A Hallowine Fire Benefit will be held at Folktale Winery & Vineyards in Carmel Valley on Sunday.
Illusions of Grandeur, Monterey County wine and the hospitality community are joining together to put this on. Carmel Valley has been the place to go for tourists since the fires broke out up north in wine country, with many businesses down here reporting two to three times their normal business. On Sunday, business will be put on hold and Folktale winery transformed into a pirates cove for an unbelievable 21 and benefit for fire victims.
“There have been fires in big sur in two of the last 5-6 years so we know how devastating wildfires can be to the community. The other thing is wine in general is a big tight family and luckily hospitality is our partners. So we’re all connected and we’re all in this together,” said Kim Stemler.
Tickets are $60 and include food and one glass of wine. There will be prizes and music, costumes of course are encouraged.
100% of proceeds from this event will be donated to California Wine Strong, a nonprofit network of wine industry leaders committed to providing immediate assistance and long term aid to the victims and communities ravaged by the fires.
