Fire and downed power lines in Carmel Valley
Firefighters responded to downed power lines and a fire burning in Carmel Valley Thursday.
According to Cachagua Fire, firefighters were called to a report of a fire in the wildland near Nason and Cachagua Road around 3 p.m. The fire was extinguished within an hour.
Three air tankers responded, along with air support.
Cachagua Fire said power lines were reported down. PG&E is on the way to repair a damaged transformer.
The cause of the fire has not been released at this time.
