Juvenile arrested for DUI and Possession of Marijuana for Sale
A 17-year-old was booked into the San Benito County Juvenile Hall on multiple charges, including driving while under the influence of drugs and driving without a license.
On Friday at about 11:58 PM, the Hollister Police Department responded to a report of a vehicle collision that had just occurred on the 1400 block of Rancho Dr. A car had collided into several parked vehicles in the area.
Minutes later, Officers arrived on scene and found the male juvenile driver sitting inside the car which had been involved in the collision. One Officer began an investigation which resulted in the arrest of the juvenile for driving under drug influence.
While conducting the investigation, officers recovered numerous ounces of marijuana along with concentrated cannabis wax. Additional evidence was discovered which was indicative of someone selling marijuana.
The juvenile was booked into The San Benito County Juvenile Hall for the following charges: Driving while under the influence of drugs, driving without a license, possession of marijuana for sale by a minor and transportation of over an ounce of marijuana by a minor.
