TRAFFIC ALERT: Overnight closures begin on Highway 9 in Brookedale
Overnight closures are in effect for Highway 9 in Brookedale as crews start a slip out repair project.
According to Cal Trans, overnight closures were postponed because of the Bear Fire, but the closures went into effect Sunday, October 22nd. The closures will take place Sunday nights through early Friday mornings.
The highway will be closed between Western Avenue and Pike Road from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m.
Drivers can take a detour by using Bear Creek Road/Summit Road, Highway 17 and Mount Hermon Road.
Road work is expected to wrap up on November 13th.
