Hollister Police arrest man brandishing gun during road rage incident

Hollister Police arrested a Los Banos man who allegedly pulled out a gun during a road rage incident this week.

According to Hollister PD, a driver called 9-1-1 after the suspect, 37-year-old Fidel Pena allegedly cut off the reporting party’s car as they were traveling on San Felipe Road. Hand gestures were shared between the two and police said the suspect in a maroon colored Honda allegedly brandished a handgun out the window. The incident occurred on October 15 around 11:30 a.m.

Police circled the area and located a maroon Honda with dealer plates in the area of San Felipe Road and Santa Ana Road. Inside the car officers located Pena, his wife, two teenagers and a 4-year-old son.

Officers found a handgun in the car and arrested Pena for brandishing a firearm and child endangerment.

Pena was transported to the San Benito County Jail.
