Hollister woman identified in deadly weekend crash
A Hollister woman died in a car accident in San Benito County over the weekend.
According to The California Highway Patrol, 53-year-old Maria Luisa Lopez was driving a 2015 Honda Pilot northbound on Fairview Road south of Rosa Morada Road when she veered to the right and struck a tree. The accident occurred Sunday around 9:25. CHP said the Hollister woman was treated at the scene and transported to Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital where she died.
The crash is being investigated, however drugs or alcohol do not seem to have played a factor according to investigators.
