King City officers arrest man with assault rifle

Officers from the King City Police Department responded to a call of a domestic verbal dispute on the 600 block of Sycamore Street about 4:30 a.m. Saturday.

Police said Martin Ortega, 22, had armed himself with a BB gun. Officers said during an investigation they learned Ortega was in possession of a loaded assault rifle that did not have a serial number.

Ortega was booked into the county jail.
