California victims of Las Vegas shooting can apply for state help
If you or a family member were at the Route 91 Harvest Festival on Sunday, the California Victim Compensation Board can help pay bills and expenses that resulted from the violent attack.
According to the CalVCB, victims who were injured may be eligible for help paying for medical bills, funeral expenses, mental health treatment, or lost wages. State officials said people can apply whether injured or not in the attack. Even if you have no current expenses, applying is encouraged incase future expenses arise, such as counseling.
