Cal Fire extinguishes fire at Pebble Beach Lodge

A fire at Pebble Beach Lodge caused $150,000 in damages Tuesday.

According to the Pebble Beach Community Services District Cal Fire, crews responded to a structure fire at 1500 Cypress Drive, just before noon. Upon arrival, fire crews could see smoke coming from the second floor of the 20,000 square foot lodge. Firefighters entered the garage area and found heavy smoke conditions.

“During a primary search, crews found the fire was in the chimney ducting, resulting in charring in the duct space from the basement to the roof,” said Cal Fire.

The fire was contained and controlled by 12:19 p.m. No one was injured as a result of the fire.
