Caltrans Repaves Highway 68 in Pacific Grove

Highway 68 near Pacific Grove is getting a makeover this week…so expect some delays if you travel Holman highway.

As winter quickly approaches… Caltrans is taking the necessary precautions to make sure the highway is ready.

Highway 68 has lots of potholes… so those will get some special attention. Crews will also be repaving parts of the highway that need it.

The roadwork will take place between 8-30 in the morning to 2 in the afternoon…from David Avenue running to skyline forest… the work is expected to wrap up this Friday.

HIGHWAY 68 PAVEMENT REPAIRS NEAR PACIFIC GROVE – From Caltrans

MONTEREY COUNTY – Daytime pavement repairs in both directions of Highway 68 (Holman Highway) from David Avenue (PM 1.15) to Skyline Forest (PM 3.37) near Pacific Grove will take place Monday, Oct. 2 through Friday, Oct. 6.

Roadwork hours are from 8:30 am to 2 pm at each location and details are as follows:

Monday, Oct. 2:

Westbound Holman Hwy. 68 from Prescott Lane to Bishop Ave.–#1 (left) lane closure.

Tuesday, Oct. 3:

Westbound Holman Hwy. 68 from David Ave. to Morse Dr.–#2 (right) lane closure.

Wednesday, Oct. 4:

Westbound Holman Hwy. 68 from David Ave. to Morse Dr.–#1 (left) lane closure.

Thursday, Oct. 5:

Eastbound Holman Hwy. 68 at Skyline Forest–one way traffic control with 10 minute delays.

Friday, Oct. 6:

Eastbound Holman Hwy. 68 at Piedmont Ave.–one way traffic control with 10-minute delays.

Electronic message signs have been posted, alerting motorists of this roadwork which is

being performed by the Caltrans Monterey Maintenance team. The California Highway

Patrol (CHP) will be present to assist with traffic control.

Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway work zones.
