Capitola Police searching for suspect in attempted robbery

The search is on for a man officials say attempted to rob a Capitola drugstore.

The Capitola Police Department responded to the CVS on Bay Avenue on the report of an attempted robbery on Sunday.

Officials say a male suspect entered the store and presented a note to the cashier demanding money. The suspect then left the store on foot without any money.

Law enforcement searched the area, however were not able to locate the suspect, described as a white male about 25-35 years old, 6’3″ with a slender build and long red hair down to his waist. Officials say it is not known if the hair is real or a wig.
