Salinas Police: Search warrant leads to arrest of man carrying loaded gun

A man is behind bars for carrying a loaded gun in public.

On Tuesday, the Salinas Police Department along with other law enforcement agencies including the California Highway Patrol, served a search warrant in the 1500 block of Ventura Way in Salinas.

Police found 23-year-old Bryan Magdaleno in possession of a loaded firearm.

According to police, officers also found SKS assault rifle with bayonet, a shotgun, Norinco UZI model 320, Taurus PT 111 9mm handgun, Savage Arms 32. caliber handgun, Taser x26 and ammunition.

Magdaleno was charged with carrying a loaded firearm in public, possession of firearm by prohibited person and several other gun related charges.
