UPDATE: Algae warnings reduced from “Danger” to “Caution” at Lake San Antonio
UPDATE 7/18/2017 11:48 a.m. New water test results allowed Monterey County to reduce algae warnings to the public from “Danger” to “Caution,” at Lake San Antonio.
A couple of weeks ago, county officials reported harmful algae in the water of the Lake near Bradley.
New signs went up around the lake in affected areas.
The bottle water order at the lake remains in effect. County officials said the water at the lake will continue to be tested. Visitors are advised to check the entrance for the latest information.

Friday San Antonio Lake Park South Shore Water System warns system water users about possible contamination as a result of algae bloom.
Folks are advised to drink and cook with bottled water until safe reliable water can be provided.
Monterey County health officials said there is an investigation into the quality of water due to the risk of contamination. The advisory remains in effect until the problem is resolved and the health department gives clearance.
