A mother and her kids shot at driving in Gilroy

According to the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office, a woman and her two children were driving just outside of Gilroy Thursday morning, when their car was shot at by someone with a pellet gun.

Deputies said the back window of their car was shattered by a pellet bullet at Santa Teresa Blvd. and Fitzgerald Ave. around 9:45 a.m.

The woman’s 7-year-old daughter had minor injuries and the pellet was found in her hair. The mom and her 4-year-old son were okay.

Another driver reported being shot at around the same time but deputies said nothing was found.

Deputies are still searching for a suspect.
