Evacuations lifted near “major” gas leak in Hollister, police say

UPDATE 7/12/17 1:21 p.m.: Evacuations near a “major” gas leak in the 200 block of Santa Ana Rd. in Hollister have been lifted.

At about 1:15 p.m., police said the gas appeared to be shut off.

PREVIOUS STORY: Hollister Police are asking people within 2000 yards of a major gas leak in the 200 block of Santa Ana Rd., to evacuate immediately.

Those who need to evacuate can head to the Veteran’s Memorial Building at 649 San Benito St, Hollister, CA 95023.
