More than 100 students earn reward for perfect attendance

It’s the end of the school year and Monday, students at Monte Bella Elementary School got a big rewarded for their perfect attendance.

It’s all part of Alisal Union School District’s Bicycle giveaway program.

101 students showed up to school every day without an absence mark on their record. The dedication to school has paid off as each student was given a brand new bike.

A helicopter landed on campus and the Salinas Police Department brought patrol cars, gear and other equipment for the kids to engage in.

Speakers from Alisal Rotary and S.P.D Association made brief speeches and then students were given new bikes.
