DUI collision injuries two and destroys a ’65 Chevy Impala
According to the California Highway Patrol, two people were injured in a DUI hit and run accident.
Saturday night around 11:45 p.m. the driver of a 1965 Chevy Impala lost control of the vehicle and crashed south of River Street on Highway 1.
Witnesses told CHP that the driver of the car took off on foot. Santa Cruz Police found and detained the suspect until CHP arrived on scene.
A case of beer was found inside the muscle car.
The driver of the ’65 Chevy is in custody for felony DUI and hit and run.
