Teen arrested in Seaside home break-in

A 19-year-old man was arrested for a burglary in the 1200 block of Circle Ave. in Seaside on Friday, according to police.

Officers said Morgan Gonzalez-Guiterrez kicked in the front door and ransacked the victim’s house. Gonzalez-Guiterrez is also accused of punching the victim and lighting a fire on the kitchen stove.

A search warrant was issued for Gonzalez-Guiterrez’ home, where officers said they found evidence of the burglary.

Police also said there had been five door-kick residential burglaries within 24-hours of the incident on Circle Ave.

Gonzalez-Guiterrez was arrested and taken to the Monterey County Jail. He’s charged with burglary, robbery and arson.
