Watsonville police arrested two men late Sunday after they allegedly forced their way into a home and threatened the occupants with a shotgun.
Police say Sebastian Anguiano, 31, and Melquiadez Campos Hernandez, 36, went to the home on McKenzie Avenue to retrieve personal items from an ex-girlfriend. Occupants said the woman was not at the home, and asked Anguiano and Hernandez to leave. The men reportedly then forced their way inside the home, threatening to shoot the occupants unless the property was returned.
After agreeing to leave, Anguiano fired a shotgun round into the air.
Witnesses told police that Anguiano and Hernandez drove away in a gray Dodge Charger. Police spotted the car and made a high risk vehicle stop.
Inside the car, police found a loaded 12 gauge shotgun, a loaded revolver hidden under the passenger’s seat, and an unloaded assault rifle in the trunk, along with numerous rounds of ammunition.
Anguiano and Hernandez were booked on numerous weapons charges into the Santa Cruz County Jail.
