Santa Cruz man caught passed out in car filled with drugs

A man was arrested Friday after he was caught passed out in a car with drugs inside, according to Santa Cruz Police.

Officer say they found two people appeared to be passed out inside a car parked on the 100 block of Blaine Street. After knocking on the windows, Officers were eventually able to wake up the pair.

Drug paraphernalia was visible on the center console and a search of the car led to an arrest. Officers found heroin, methamphetamine, cash, and additional drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Paul Otey was arrested and booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail.
