Gun found in connection with several shootings in Felton, Ben Lomond
Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office said they have found a gun in connection to several shootings made on Sunday night, suspects face several charges.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, multiple reports of shots being fired in Felton and the Ben Lomond area were reported.
Investigators said a total of five separate locations were identified as having been victims of gun shots.
One residence, one business and multiple cars were struck by gun fire, according to officials.
Officials said one car had property stolen, but despite the shootings no one was hurt.
According to investigators a car was caught on surveillance video at one of the shooting locations that was believe to be driven by the shooters.
The car was found at the 1000 block of Emeline Avenue, according to deputies.
Deputies said that is when they arrested 18-year-old Samantha Self from Boulder Creek and 22-year-old Brett Caplin from Santa Cruz.
According to deputies, they were both arrested for multiple offenses and during a search of Self’s residence, a gun was found.
This case is still under investigation.
