Salinas homicide victim killed on Cross Ave. identified
UPDATE 2/21/17 4:48 p.m.: On Tuesday, Salinas police identified the man killed Saturday night on Cross Ave. as Juan Carlos Guido Lopez.
Investigators are still searching for the suspects.
PREVIOUS STORY: Officers are investigating a shooting that left a 35-year-old man dead on the 300 block of Cross Avenue Saturday night, according to the Salinas Police Department.
Not many details are known as this time, but officers found the man suffering from gunshot wounds in the driveway of an apartment complex around 10:30 p.m.
The victim, still not named, was pronounced dead at the scene.
This is the eight homicide of the year in Salinas.
The Salinas Police Department is asking anyone who may have information on the shooting to call 1-800-78-CRIME or the anonymous tip line at 831-775-4222.
