Team Murray wins again in the 3M Celebrity Challenge
Team Murray took home the win for the second year in a row in the 3M Celebrity Challenge at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Wednesday.
12 celebrities competed for charity on five holes with money going to each player’s charity of choice.
Each hole was worth $20,000 and each charity also received a grant of at least $1,000 for being represented.
Clint Eastwood did not play this year as he is recovering from the flu. Huey Lewis took over for Eastwood to lead his team.
KION asked Murray about what he thought about his chances of taking home the win again this year.
“I don’t remember last year. Did I win?” joked Murray. “So far so good for us. There haven’t been any injuries and not even a police report about anything so everyone is pretty well behaved and it is a good day in Monterey,” said Murray.
“I just love this event. It’s very nice and you get to know these guys better. It’s fun. I’m hanging with Bill Murray, Andy Garcia and all the fun people so it’s cool,” said musician Kenny G.
Model and actress Kelly Rohrbach was the only woman to play in the 3M Celebrity Challenge Thursday and KION asked her what she thought about representing the women out on the course.
“It’s exciting and I hope more women get into golf,” said Rohrbach.
Team Murray came out on top after Josh Duhamel and Kunal Nayyar took the 18 th hole, which included a carryover from the 17 th hole.
