Stockton Avenue Bridge in Capitola Village will be closed for cleanup

UPDATE: Public works crews worked to clear a log jam beneath Stockton Avenue Bridge in Capitola Village.

According to Public Works they have been busy dealing with fallen trees and power lines.

Stockton Avenue Bridge reopened at about 3:30 p.m.

PREVIOUS STORY: Stockton Avenue Bridge in Capitola Village will be closed for cleanup on Wednesday from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

The city of Capitola Public Works Department said drivers heading through Capitola Village should be aware that a crane will be placed on the Stockton Avenue Bridge to remove storm debris from the west side.

According to Public Works officials, the bridge will be closed to traffic from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

All lanes will be closed, though it is possible a single lane may be opened at times, according to officials.

Public Works officials ask that drivers take an alternate route during this cleanup.
