Marina police participates in “Operation Reclaim and Rebuild”: 5 arrested for prostitution
For the first time various agencies in the county took part in “Operation Reclaim and Rebuild” which resulted in the arrest of 5 people for prostitution, according to Marina police.
This was part of a bigger operation in which approximately 50 local, state, and federal agencies participated in a 3-day operation across the state of California.
Officials said the goal of this operation was to stop the exploitation of young women and girls. This was the first time this operation was conducted throughout the entire state, according to officials.
The operation resulted in the recovery of 28 sexually exploited children and 27 adult victims.
An estimated 474 people were arrested on various related charges, 5 of those arrest were made in Marina.
According to Marina Police Department the arrested were cited and released.
