Monday evening earthquake

Did you feel it? A (preliminary) magnitude 3.5 earthquake struck the Central Coast at 9:35PM PST on Monday evening. The quake was centered three miles southwest of Tres Pinos or about seven miles south of Hollister in San Benito County. It occurred near the San Andreas Fault at a depth of approximately 6 miles.

People around the Monterey Bay area reported feeling the quake on social media with reports coming in from as far away as Daly City.

In the KION weather center, I felt one sharp thrust followed by a bit of rattling of the studio lights.
